Hosted August 6th through 8th at the South Point Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, the 35th Annual Tri-State Seminar will provide professional development, continuing education, and technology transfer to water and wastewater operators from the Western United States. Started in 1985, the Tri-State Seminar supports the vision and missions of the partner organizations, which include the AZ Water Association, California Water Environment Association, and the Nevada Water Environment Association.
KSB is excited to be supplying the pump package for the Maintenance Event that is planned as part of the Operations Challenge – which is the first time in the history of the Tri-State Seminar that the #OpsChallenge will be included as part of the conference schedule. Also, this is the first time in the history of the Operations Challenge that the pump is energized (read more here).
The purpose of the KSB Maintenance Event, which is planned at regional conferences through 2021, is to test the skills of water / wastewater professionals – with challenges for each team in the areas of pump maintenance, collections, and process & controls. In the #KSBMaintenanceEvent, each team responds to a scenario in which they must take fast action at a simulated sanitary sewer lift station. The teams will have to troubleshoot the electrical control panel, perform routine maintenance on the submersible pump, and restore the pump station to normal operating condition.
The competitions will be held in the Exhibit Hall Arena Concourse during exhibit hours, with the KSB Maintenance Event occurring on August 6th, 2019 from 3:45pm -7:00pm and the Collections and Process & Controls competitions planned for August 7th. KSB invites you to keep up with the KSB Maintenance Events on Social Media by using the hashtags noted in this press release in addition to #TriState34.
