Water and Wastewater Equipment Manufacturers Association (WWEMA) Chairman John Dyson, Product Channel Manager – AquaPrime, Aqua-Aerobic Systems, Inc. named George Vorsheim, COMMS Contractor, Environment One Corporation (Niskayuna, NY) as the recipient of the 2019 James C. Morriss Member Achievement Award at WWEMA’s 111th Annual Meeting on November 7, in Litchfield Park (Phoenix), Arizona. The James C. Morriss Member Achievement Award is presented each year to a WWEMA member for significant contributions to the mission of the Association, and to the benefit of the water and wastewater industry.
In presenting the award, Dyson cited Vorsheim’s outstanding service to WWEMA. Vorsheim has been an active member of WWEMA for many years serving on the WWEMA Board of Directors and as Vice-Chair of WWEMA’s Legislative/Regulatory Committees. He also represents WWEMA and the water industry on the Department of Commerce Environmental Technology Trade Advisory Committee. An active writer and researcher, he is particularly passionate about the environmental and public health issues around failing septic systems. With decades of experience, he is a well-respected member of the water industry and has been actively involved in many water-related associations.
