New Qdos 20 to take centre stage at ACHEMA 2018 – alongside wide range of fluid path technologies

Qdos 20 pump – an extension to the popular Qdos range from Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group (WMFTG) – will take centre stage on Stand K79 (Hall 8) at ACHEMA 2018.

This new pump has been developed to offer highly accurate sodium hypochlorite metering  with flow rates to 20 litre/hr at up to 7 bar pressure. It is especially suitable for applications at the well sites of many smaller water treatment plants, where operators are often injecting into water lines at higher pressure.

Visitors to the company’s stand at ACHEMA may already be familiar with Qdos pump technology. Launched at this show in 2012, the Qdos range is now multi-award-winning and it is widely deployed in chemical metering applications all over the globe. The Qdos 20 features the same user-friendly interface and control options, ensuring that users have continuity with any existing Qdos applications. Offering low total cost of ownership, the new model is designed as a drop-in replacement for diaphragm pumps. Qdos pumps also include the ReNu pumphead for single, no-tools maintenance.

Of particular interest to chemical users will be a presentation delivered by Rens Zwart, Industrial Sector Business Development Manager at WMFTG, on the topic of improved chemical metering using Qdos technology. Here, he will offer application examples of how, in a counter-pressure application, Qdos is delivering impressive savings thanks to dosing accuracy. Other process efficiencies include a constant flow to eliminate pulsing, low addition rate capability and ease of calibration. Mr Zwart’s presentation will take place on 14 June at 11:50 in the Session “State-of-the-art fluids handling – Pumps, dosing and flow measurement” room H9.1 – Logos.

A wide range of other pump, tubing and complete fluid path products and technologies from other parts of the Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Group will also be available for view on the stand including:

MasoSine Certa: Launched in 2016 this sinusoidal pump technology will be of interest to visitors from the food processing arena. Certa has the ability to pump viscous food products without pulsation. Offering EHEDG Type EL Class I Aseptic certification, CertaTM is extremely easy to clean, is perfect for handling viscous products or inclusions and due to its one shaft, one seal design, is considerably, more energy efficient than other positive displacement pumps and is easier to maintain – thereby ensuring minimal maintenance and downtime and fast return on investment.

Bredel Hose Pumps: Bredel hose pump technology is often the ‘pump of choice’ for customers with highly abrasive transfer challenges. End users are now able to select the correct chemically compatible hose material more easily, with the availability of five new Bredel and APEX hose material immersion sample cards. Each sample card will carry complete hose material data, including temperature resistance, as well as instructions for immersion tests.

Watson-Marlow process pumps

Watson-Marlow’s process pumps range can also be viewed at ACHEMA. Designed for metering and transfer applications, process pumps offer four drive options for industrial integration – manual, remote, analog and digital communication, plus PROFIBUS, and flow rates to 2,000 litre/hr.

Aflex Hose

Many of the world’s leading chemical companies have standardised on Aflex Hose’s patented products. On show are highlights from the Company’s range of PTFE hoses and end fittings.
