The WateReuse Research Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization that conducts research to improve the treatment, distribution and acceptance of water reuse presented its Leadership Award to Pentair on May 4 during a ceremony at the 19th Annual Water Reuse & Desalination Research Conference in Huntington Beach, CA. Pentair delivers industry-leading products, services, and solutions for its customers’ diverse needs in water and other fluids, thermal management, and equipment protection.
“Our partnership with Pentair is producing information and real solutions that will help communities across the country and around the world develop resilient water supplies today and for years to come,” said WateReuse Executive Director Melissa Meeker.
WateReuse and Pentair have collaborated on studies that have examined graywater regulatory issues, nano-material research, monitoring and reliability for potable reuse applications, and membrane integrity testing, among other issues. In December 2014, WateReuse and Pentair renewed their partnership to develop research projects focused on human and environmental risks associated with existing and proposed innovative agricultural reuse concepts.
The Leadership Award was accepted by Dr. Phil Rolchigo, who is Vice President for Technology at Pentair and Vice Chair of the WateReuse Research Advisory Committee, which provides scientific guidance and sets the agenda for the WateReuse research program.
“Pentair’s global technological leadership and experience combined with WateReuse’s scientific expertise means that we are able to make an even greater impact on water sustainability, as well as public health and environmental protection as a team,” Rolchigo said.
