Realign America: The Ultimate Customer Experience Starts With Employees

The story of David Zdrojewski and VibrAlign

Believing that the US manufacturing industry is poised for significant growth again, companies like VibrAlign are investing in the future with training and talent development to ensure years of prosperity to come.

Based in Richmond, VA, VibrAlign has been a leading supplier of alignment equipment and innovators in alignment processes since 1983. The company develops alignment courses and training. As the exclusive US distributor for Fixturlaser®, the company offers world-class shaft alignment products to industries across the country.

David believes firmly that exceptional business growth does not have to be at the expense of employees or clients. At VibrAlign, the company strives to create “remarkable client experiences.” By creating this environment, the company believes that revenue and profits will take care of themselves. Imagine the impact on sales when customers truly enjoy working with you. In order to fulfill that promise, the company delivers a remarkable employee experience…believing firmly that they will create remarkable customer experiences.

The company actively invests in its employees and the community, making it an employer of choice in the Richmond area. For example, once a quarter the company closes its doors and has employees work in the community….making it a better place to live and work.

To learn a little bit about the company culture, watch this short video.

He makes this philosophy come to life with two programs: The VibrAlign Realign America Tour and Scholarship Program.

It’s commitment to training also reaches those currently in the industry. For example, the company created the highly successful Realigning America Tour in 2013 and repeated it again in 2014.

David told me that, “We’re out to realign America, and in a greater sense to help get American industry back on top.  Spreading alignment and coupling knowledge across the land is how we can make our own small contribution.”

The original Realigning America Tours featured events in 42 cities in 24 states around the United States. The free events feature educational seminars that directly address coupling and alignment issues. The events also provide training and address attendee’s issues about shaft alignment and also include a session on coupling issues and innovations hosted by industry experts from Lovejoy.

In the past two years, the tour visited nearly 50 cities around the US and we can’t wait for Realigning America 2015.

VibrAlign is also committed to identifying and encouraging students to enter industrial fields. He and the company work with young engineers and help them understand that is pump industry is strong, viable and will be healthy…and will be for years to come.

To prove its point, VibrAlign established its Realigning America scholarship program. Four times a year, the company awards scholarships to outstanding students who submit the best technical papers on the importance of properly aligned machinery. The highly competitive program draws entries from around the United States.

When I asked David about the program, he told me, “We believe it’s important to help train America’s future industrial workforce so they can compete on the world stage. We see the current workforce growing older and it’s time to prepare a new generation. It’s part of our commitment to Realign America.”

In fact, recently one student was surprised when David himself returned the student’s call to VibrAlign to talk about the scholarship program and the student’s future plans.

David shared a story with me that the success as a human being is not measured by business wins but rather by how many people you have helped. David and VibrAlign set a great example for others to follow every day. By “serving” others we find a secret to success that many of the world’s leading companies believe in. Truly serve others and success will follow.
