Physical Water Conditioning in Wastewater & Desalination Systems

Magnation Water Technologies changes the physical and biological properties of water, reducing and eliminating airborne odor, fouling and gases while influencing the biological properties through the improvement of bacterial activity. Salts are also broken down to smaller particles and held in solution. Both of these enhancements increase efficiency of the water and wastewater treatment performance. The impact of these changes accelerates solid sedimentation, improves the collection of fine particulates, decreases dissolved solids, reduces sludge digestion time and significantly decreases scale. At the same time, Magnation increases the amount of oxygen, and the water becomes lighter with less friction resulting in easier-to-move liquids that use less energy.

Magnation IMPROVES THE EFFICIENCY AND EFFICACY of these treatment processes:
• sedimentation, aeration and filtration to remove insoluble particles & contaminants
• reverse osmosis and membranes to remove salts
• biological processes to break down soap, oils and food
• chemicals such as chlorine and ozone to kill bacterial and purify water
• solid-liquid separation through the use of a centrifuge or other equipment

How to get cleaner, wetter and more productive water:

Lighter water

Water becomes visually transparent and its flora increases with Magnation. These changes are due to a large decrease of pathogenic bacteria in the water and coagulation of weighed particles and other various chemical compounds.

Improve pump efficiency by 10%

Magnation’s 1.5” Rainbolt installed shows improved flow with a 10% increase in efficiency, and also able to use larger size (6.280”) propellers (on a 9 hp pump with gas motor). Perimeters include: 25-50 gpm, 125 psi, 3600 rpm.

Extend Equipment Life

Significantly extend the lifespan and reduce maintenance of your equipment machinery from pumps, to high-pressure lines and spray nozzles by reducing wear and tear. Now that is energy conservation in action. Extend the life of consumables, such as membranes for reverse osmosis filters. Energy and maintenance costs account for 50-95% of pump ownership costs, with initial costs less than 15% of pump life cycle costs.

Efficient and effective primary wastewater treatment is crucial to your plant operations. Maximizing chemicals, equipment, and energy while improving water quality will dramatically reduce overall operational costs, while minimizing your carbon footprint. Magnation provides eco-friendly solutions to help meet your rigorous water quality and reuse requirements.
