ITT i-ALERT®2 Mobile App Now Available for iPad and Android Devices

Breakthrough equipment health monitor optimized for Samsung Galaxy S5, S6 and S7, LG Google Nexus 5x, 6, and 6p, and iPad devices

ITT’s (NYSE:ITT) PRO Services® brand has announced that its i-ALERT®2 Bluetooth Equipment Health Monitor is now optimized for iPad and Android devices. Originally released for iOS iPhone, the app will now make use of the larger iPad screen size for a better tablet experience and be available for free for Samsung Galaxy S5, S6 and S7, and LG Google Nexus 5x, 6 and 6p devices.

ITT’s i-ALERT2 condition monitor, which is smaller than a credit card, tracks vibration, temperature and run-time hours, and it is the first to combine the latest in Bluetooth low-energy and sensor technologies into an industrial package. The i-ALERT2 device wirelessly syncs to the mobile app, where customers can view real-time and historical data, diagnostic information and machine records.

“With the expansion of the app to Android devices, more plant managers around the world will be able to use the i-ALERT2 monitor to identify potential problems in rotating equipment before they become costly failures,” said James Hamilton, vice president for Aftermarket Solutions, ITT’s Industrial Process business.

With 24/7 monitoring, the i-ALERT2 device has a wireless range of up to 100 feet (30 meters) and the mobile app can scan multiple devices at once. Rated for use in environments with explosive gases, dust and fibers, the mobile app enables customers to quickly and safely inspect equipment in hazardous industrial environments.

ITT’s dedication to maintenance programs and solutions like the i-ALERT2 monitor is bringing the Industrial Internet of Things to life—safely and economically. The device has received industrial recognition and most recently received the 2015 Silver Product of the Year Award in the Maintenance Tools & Equipment Category from Plant Engineering magazine. It was also named one of Processing magazine’s 2015 Breakthrough Products of the Year.
