In various places around the globe the built environment is being increasingly challenged by dwindling natural resources, climate change, increasingly complex building systems, terrorism threats, a shrinking skilled workforce due to the Baby Boomer global phenomena exiting from the workplace, pressing financial realities attributed to escalating real estate costs, and reduced allocated funds to properly maintain the physical assets. Addressing these environmental, social, and financial challenges of the built environment requires innovative solutions.
