Theory Bites: Static Pressure

Theory bites are a collection of basic hydraulic theory and will touch upon pump design and other areas of pump industry knowledge.

The static pressure is the pressure of the fluid independently of the speed. It can be measured using piezometric tubes.

The total pressure of the fluid is defined as the sum of the static pressure and the dynamic pressure.
