Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates (SOCMA) Endorses the 2015 Chem Show

Specialty chemical processors now have a special reason to attend the 2015 Chem Show, November 17-19, in New York City, as Chem Show Management announced that SOCMA (Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates) has become an Endorsing Association.
With a global membership of more than 220 companies, SOCMA is the only US-based trade association dedicated solely to the specialty chemical industry. As this industry segment’s leading authority, SOCMA represents a diverse membership of small, medium and large chemical companies which employ more than 46,000 people in the US alone. The value of the products and services provided by SOCMA members exceeds $24 billion.
Lawrence Sloan, SOCMA President and CEO said, “The Chem Show is a good fit for our organization and membership.  Many member companies already send representatives to the Chem Show to source a variety of process equipment and technology for their operations, but we encourage all of our members to attend the Show and see what’s new in the industry.”
“We are delighted to welcome SOCMA as our newest Endorsing Association, as the Chem Show’s mission is to bring together the suppliers and buyers from a broad range of process industries to explore innovative solutions,” said Clay Stevens, President of International Exposition Company (IEC), which produces and manages the Chem Show.
SOCMA joins five other leading chemical industry associations that support North America’s premier event for the chemical process industries (CPI). The other Chem Show Endorsing Associations include the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), Association of Consulting Chemists and Chemical Engineers (ACC&CE), Fluid Controls Institute (FCI), Fluid Sealing Association (FSA) and the Measurement, Control & Automation Association (MCAA).
The 2015 event is expected to attract more than 300 exhibiting companies and over 5,000 CPI professionals. For more information on exhibiting or attending the 2015 Chem Show, call 203.221.9232, email: info@chemshow.com or visit our website: chemshow.com.
