JKMuir, a successful women-owned and operated engineering and energy consulting firm specializing in water, wastewater, and industrial processes, is celebrating their 10 Year Anniversary. Over the past decade, the company has grown and successfully supported municipal- and private-sector clients with practical energy management, emissions reduction, and pump system optimization strategies.
“Ten years has really gone by in the ‘blink of an eye’, but looking back on our achievements and all the projects JKMuir has worked on gives us great fuel for the future,” shares Muir. “It’s exhilarating to be part of effecting change in the industry.”
Muir, who in 2018 became the new Chair of the Connecticut Section of AWWA, is active with several organizations, including the Hydraulic Institute and the U.S. Department of Energy – contributing as a subject matter expert on topics around energy efficiency and energy savings. Members of the JKMuir team are also involved, having recently presented at the New England Water Environment Association Conference on the topic of energy demand in addition to collaborating with the University of Hartford to expose engineering students to pump performance testing and assessment.
“I’m really proud of our team,” states Muir. “Our engineers empower our clients by helping them take steps to lower operating costs, decrease greenhouse gas emissions, and obtain greater control over their power consumption, pumping systems, and treatment processes.”
