June is filled with so many events and activities. There is a pull for our attention in all directions. I am reminding us to make sure we find time to think, strategize, and innovate. My son just graduated from high school and it made me think about the word envision. I love the “expect” part of the definition above. I believe in so much of my work, I had to step into the unknown and expect a result. When we set a plan into motion or imagine an event coming together, we must expect that we will achieve the desired outcome. If we don’t believe it, then we will not create it with the same energy and creativity needed to make it successful. So, as we go into another busy season, I encourage you to spend some time in thought and set your intentions on what you expect to happen. Then, do the work. The work is the part we can control. Each day take the steps you need to turn vision into reality. I know there are times we must adjust as things don’t always work out the way we think it is supposed to happen, but let’s start with the right intention and mindset.
We are excited about the things we have envisioned for the pump industry. The Empowering Pumps & Industry Conference (EPIC) is coming together, and we hope you will all join us November 8th & 9th at the Water Tower in Buford, GA. We have also created membership opportunities and digital magazines for Empowering Women in Industry. If you or someone you know should be involved, please connect with us. Lastly, if you will be at Valve World Americas, please come join us for the networking hour and Empowering Women in the Workforce Panel Discussion on June 7th from 3-5 pm on the expo floor. Until next time… #BeEmpowering!
