There are other products that EGC makes for the Power, Petrochemical and Chemical industries enumerated throughout the brochure. Thermafoil 2236 CLE packing is a product designed to virtually eliminate fugitive emissions. It averages just 2ppm without adjustment of the gland during testing performed at the Yarmouth Research and technology center. It has passed API 622 and will not degrade in temperatures up to 850 degrees F.

EGC has a solution to diminishing gland force.  It’s called live-loaded packing and it’s done with Belleville spring washers. They press against the check-nuts and the flange to maintain consistent pressure on the gland. They can absorb shock, provide dampening and support extreme forces in bolted areas.

Thermafoil Alta-P (TF-LAP) gaskets provide the ultimate toughness in very high-pressure applications. It consists of two parts, graphite and stainless steel with no adhesive binders. Alta-P can handle up to 40,000 psi unit load and system pressures of up to 3,500 psi in non-contained applications.
