Danfoss boosts iSave ® energy recovery device capacity by 75%

Danfoss High Pressure Pumps ready to extend the capacity of its iSave ® energy recovery devices by 75%. With the coming launch of two new ERDs, Danfoss will bring its industryleading energy efficiency to even more applications in the fast-growing mid-size SWRO market.

iSave 50 and 70 are the largest energy recovery devices (ERDs) Danfoss has launched to date. With these latest additions to the Danfoss range of isobaric energy recovery devices, a single ERD now handles flow rates of up to 70 m³ per hour.

iSaves’s innovative three-in-one design integrates a highly efficient isobaric pressure exchanger with a booster pump and motor – all in one small footprint – to save SWRO operators up to 60% in energy costs compared to plants without ERD.

“Our customers require increased energy efficiency even as they build higher capacity trains and plants” says Jesper Bentzen, Global Sales Director at Danfoss High Pressure Pumps. “They’re looking for better solutions to help them capture market share especially in the mid-size SWRO segment. Our new, higher-capacity iSave ERDs bring more energy savings to more of these plants.”

With the coming product launches, the Danfoss range of iSave ERDs cover flow rates of 7 – 70 m³ per hour.

iSave 50 and iSave 70 will be available worldwide from Q3-2015.
