ASPE and Empowering Pumps Collaborate on the First Social Media Lounge at the 2016 ASPE Exposition

The American Society of Plumbing Engineers (ASPE) is pleased to announce an exciting new feature at the 2016 ASPE Exposition being jointly offered with Empowering Pumps. Experts from ASPE, Empowering Pumps, and TMB Publishing will be hosting hands-on sessions on social media techniques at the first Social Media Lounge at ASPE’s popular biennial Exposition.

ASPE Expo 2016The 2016 ASPE Exposition is being held October 31 – November 1 in Phoenix (aspe.org/expo; #ASPEflowswest) and will feature more than 300 exhibiting manufacturers and suppliers of plumbing system-related products and technologies. To help attendees and exhibitors learn how to stay connected after the Exposition is over, ASPE has created a new Social Media Lounge on the Exposition floor, where participants can relax and interact one-on-one with social media experts. Four hands-on education sessions on social media will be held during the two-day Exposition on the following topics:

Monday, October 31:

Crash Course on Social Media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn – 11:30 a.m.

Do’s and Don’ts of Social Media Usage in Business – 3:30 p.m.

Tuesday, November 1:

Developing Social Media Programs for Companies – 10:30 a.m.

Business-Level Social Media: How to Interact B2B and B2C – 1:30 p.m.

The sessions are designed to take participants through the entire process, from setting up social media accounts through maximizing your company’s exposure online to grow business. Depending on their skill level, participants can follow the entire track or choose the sessions most suited to their experience with social media.

We are extremely excited to be working with Empowering Pumps, and especially its owner, Charli Matthews, on this new endeavor,” says Brian Henry, ASPE’s Director of Affiliate Relations. “Hopefully this relationship will help pump system suppliers increase their visibility and market share through ASPE and the ASPE Exposition.”

“It is great to see ASPE take the lead in educating their members on digital marketing,” says Charli Matthews. “It is a challenge to know exactly where to start in social media in our market space, and I am honored to work with Brian and his team to help inform the industry on how to connect and engage online more effectively!”

More than 4,000 engineers, designers, contractors, specifiers, code officials, manufacturer reps, and other industry professionals from across North America will gather in Phoenix to experience the 2016 ASPE Exposition, the country’s largest tradeshow dedicated exclusively to plumbing system design. Registration opens in May at aspe.org/expo, and attendance to the Exposition only is free for anyone who wants to walk the floor and learn about the newest industry innovations.
