Water pumped off New Zealand Highway in time to Build Ocean Wall

The North Canterbury Transport Infrastructure Recovery (NCTIR) in New Zealand worked with AllightSykes to quickly pump water off State Highway 1 between Blenhiem and Kaikoura, which are areas often affected by earthquakes.

NCTIR’s main objective was to build a concrete retaining wall a little over half a mile long to safeguard the highway from ocean overflow. They contacted AllightSykes about a high volume pump that could remove existing water off the road quickly, so that concrete could be poured within a challenging time frame – in between tides!
