An operator of a large freight ferry selected Hydra-Cell seal-less pumps for three different applications on its vessel. This would not be unusual because Hydra-Cell is offered in a wide range of models, capacities, and materials of construction. The operator, however, requested that all three pumps be built to the same specifications as to allow maximum on-board versatility. In addition, the pumps were individually tested, inspected and certified by DNV, one of the world’s leading certification organizations.

Pump Model: M03XKSJSNETK Flow Capacity: 3.1 gpm (11.7 l/min) Pressure Rating: 1200 psi (83 bar) Applications: Feeding methanol, circulating boiler water, and pumping de-mineralized water.

Duty #1: Methanol Feed
0.5 to 1.9 gpm (2 to 7.3 l/min) flow; 363 psi (25 bar) pressure; 68 ̊F (20 ̊C) liquid temperature
Duty #2: Boiler Water Circulation
0.13 to 1.5 gpm (1.13 – 5.67 l/min) flow; 232 psi (16 bar) pressure; 194 ̊F (90 ̊C) liquid temperature
Duty #3: De-mineralized Water (BFW)
1.1 gpm flow (4 l/min); 392 psi (27 bar) pressure; 68 ̊F (20 ̊C) liquid temperature
