A commercial car wash operator with nine lines installed a washing system expected to run 12-14 hours to maximize revenues. However, solid particles in the recycled water caused excessive wear to the dynamic seals of the reciprocating plunger pumps.

They were replaced with vertical centrifugal pumps, which were also unreliable and costly to maintain. Hydra-Cell D35/G35 pumps were then installed and have run faultlessly for years, requiring only regular oil changes. When a dosing pump was also needed, the satisfied customer selected a Hydra-Cell D03/G13. The operator has since installed Hydra-Cell pumps at its other car wash locations.
