 A.W. Chesterton Company today announced its acquisition of Spångs ProcessTeknik AB, Sweden – an expert provider of rotating equipment upgrades and refurbishment services, with an emphasis on reliability, energy efficiency and the environment. The acquisition will significantly strengthen Chesterton’s commitment to be recognized as the best partner in providing knowledge backed programs, hands-on service and support, and high performance products to help industrial process industry customers improve business performance and competitiveness, while helping them increase reliability, efficiency, and compliance.

Based in Tullinge, Stockholm (Sweden), Spångs has been providing upgrade and refurbishment services for rotating equipment since 1997 and has developed specific expertise relating to reliability improvements and increased energy efficiency across multiple process industries. Under the leadership of Tommy Spång and in conjunction with Chesterton the company developed the “Total System Solution”, focusing on overall Asset Function Improvement projects

Spångs will continue to provide services to its existing customers while expanding its energy efficiency services to Chesterton’s customer base in the EMEA.
