The Hydraulic Institute (HI), the largest association of pump manufacturers in North America, announced today it is exhibiting at booth #C6444 at the 2022 AHR Expo, being held at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, January 31- February 2, 2022.
During the exhibit, HI will be showcasing its Energy Efficiency programs developed for pump system developers and owners. Included in these initiatives are the Energy Rating (ER) Program that identifies pump technologies that capture energy and cost savings as well as the Pump Systems Optimization and Assessment programs that produce significant energy savings. “Informative Energy Rating labels make it easy to identify a pump’s energy performance and opportunity for energy savings,” said Michael Michaud, Executive Director, Hydraulic Institute.
In addition, HI is highlighting the launch of the Circulator Energy Rating label that enables the comparison of properly selected circulator pumps based on the average power consumption. It can be used to estimate the power savings or to compare the power savings between multiple circulator options. “As the industry strives for more energy-efficient solutions and to make a substantial impact toward sustainability targets, implementing the right pump technology is critical, said Michaud.”
Stop by the HI booth, #C6444, at the AHR Expo to learn more about the HI Energy Rating Program and to participate in a scavenger hunt contest for a chance to win a Yeti cooler. Attendees will collect stickers from four HI members that offer circulator pumps with an HI Energy Rating label: Armstrong Fluid Technology, Bell and Gossett, a Xylem brand, Grundfos and TACO Comfort Solutions.
Attendees can learn more about the Energy Rating Program during our free educational session, Energy Rating Labels: Resource to Increase the Efficiency of Pumping Systems on Monday, January 31, 4:00-5:00 PM, located in N243.
AHR Expo hosts over 1,650 exhibitors covering a variety of equipment, systems, components and technology for the air-conditioning, heating, and refrigeration and ventilation industry and attracts thousands of attendees.
Founded in 1917, the Hydraulic Institute (HI) is the largest association of pump manufacturers in North America. As the global authority on pumps and pump systems, HI develops standards and technical resources including application guidebooks, online tools, and calculators. HI manages efficiency programs that stem from its advocacy work with the US Department of Energy including the HI Energy Rating label that is used to identify efficient equipment and the Pump System Assessment Professional (PSAP) certification that designates qualified individuals. Both programs work to promote the efficient use of pumps and pumping systems. The Institute’s educational subsidiary, Pump Systems Matter (PSM), provides product neutral training on energy efficiency, reliability, and effective applications of pump systems through an extensive catalog of live, virtual, and on-demand courses and webinars.
