Houston Dynamic Service, Inc. (HDS), an independent, rotating equipment repair shop servicing the refining, power gen and offshore drilling markets, announced it has received certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) for 9001:2008 specifications.
Meeting the rigorous requirements of ISO 9001:2008 was no small feat. Specifications for ISO recognition include:
- HDS demonstrating its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Enhancing customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
“We’re pleased to be included in the exclusive group of ISO 9001:2008 certified companies,” said Clayton Lau, President of HDS. “All of our processes, including manufacturing, production and customer service have been validated to be appropriately managed and regulated. Applying for certification was a huge undertaking, but we’re proud of our accomplishment and continual focus on improving our Quality Management System (QMS).”
The QMS the company implemented is a revised set of processes that are more efficient with resources; improving risk management and ensuring HDS can deliver its promises to customers. These enhancements have improved service response times significantly in the rotating equipment repair and maintenance industry, two industries continuously striving to reduce downtime.
“We are always reviewing, revising and establishing new standards to ensure relevance and stay current with trends in the marketplace,” said Lau. “We want our customers to be aware of our commitment to quality and standardization as well as our commitment to superior work and response time.”
