Type A Filter features a fully enclosed, self-discharge, back-washable design.

Chemap® filters solve filtration tasks in a simple and economic way. They are especially suited to demanding filtration applications in which the drying, extraction, heel volume filtration, washing and sterile process control are integral parts of the filtration. These filter systems are used in the fields of environmental protection, foodstuffs, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, nuclear and hydro-metallurgy.

The Challenge

Type R Filter features a completely closed, self-discharging filter for the recovery of dry filter residues.

Since we are very broadly positioned and the Chemap-Filter can cover many applications, we need a gasket that we can use in a versatile and flexible way. Since our customers can also filter several products in one Chemap-Filter, we have to design the filters in such a way that the seals also meet these requirements.

The Solution

For most systems we use Durlon® 9000 but we also finding the need for Durlon® 9400 and at times, Durlon® 8500. For us it is very important that we do not have too many different sealing materials, so that we can standardize the gaskets.
