On June 8th at their Piqua, Ohio manufacturing facility, Crane Pumps & Systems hosted their channel partners from all over the map to come network, learn about Envie³, find out what’s to come in the future, and participate in interactive product demos.
“It all begins with how we take care of our customers,” said Brian Sweeney, President, as he started off the day. Sweeney shared with the 26 companies that were represented at the event how “the culture of your business is the true differentiator.” He discussed that their focus on ethics, continued improvement, giving back to the community, and innovation is one of the things that Crane Pumps & Systems prides themselves on.
After Sweeney kicked off the day, we heard presentations from Layla Wilhelm, Product Manager, who talked all about Envie³. This is Crane’s new dry pit submersible pump with a high-efficiency, air-filled motor. Envie³ is offered through both Barnes and Deming product lines. These pumps can run in both wet and dry applications and their patent pending closed loop glycol cooling system keeps your motor running cooler, longer, and more efficiently.
From there, the discussion turned to the Build America, Buy America bill and how they are positioned very well for this due to proudly manufacturing in the USA. They are also members of Submersible Wastewater Pump Association (SWPA) and The Hydraulic Institute (HI) and have been active participants within these organizations to help tackle this and any other challenges happening in pump industry.
To cap off the morning sessions, Mackenzie May, Application Specialist, and Rohan Das, Project Engineering Manager, took us through the rigorous testing requirements that Crane Pumps & Systems undergoes for all of their new products. Then Layla Wilhelm closed it with giving everyone a sneak peak of what’s to come in the future for Crane.
After lunch, everyone moved out to the shop floor for product demos. The first demo, in-real-time, they showed us how much energy costs you could save by switching to Envie³. Power Factor was also highlighted and how switching can make a big impact. The rest of the demos were broken out into smaller groups so that people could get up close and personal with the products.
The biggest hit of the day, was of course Envie3 but second to that, the Envie 3 cart system seemed to resonate with their channel partners. Specifically, it being able to save people time, money, and allow them to do maintenance on the pump more safely.
The day closed with a Q&A and Sweeney letting everyone know that Crane Pumps & Systems is dedicated to growing their pump business and continuing to grow their valued relationships with their customers.
A huge shoutout to Ketan Pandit, VP Marketing and Product Management, Elizabeth Weiler, Senior Multimedia Graphic Designer, and the whole Crane Pumps & Systems team for hosting this event and allowing our team at Empowering Pumps & Equipment to be part of the day. It was a fantastic event!
