SMART Startup For Smart Pumps: A Commercial Facility Installation

Background

The Aeropuerto Internacional Felipe Ángeles (aifa) is a civilian airport that serves the metropolitan area of Mexico City. Originally known as the Santa Lucía Airport, aifa is the second-largest airport in Mexico.

Having previously worked with Armstrong solutions and with Proyectos Instalaciones Construcciones sa de cv, Armstrong’s representative partner in the region, the design engineers were already familiar with the value of Design Envelope technology. Given the requirements for uninterrupted operation of the HVAC systems, the team requested Armstrong’s SMART Start-up service, plus a subscription to Pump Manager.

Pairing SMART startup with Design Envelope pumps helps to ensure optimized performance and minimize risk during the initial process. Pump Manager is a cloud-based subscription service that proactively tracks pump performance and provides early diagnostic warnings, web-accessible trends, analysis, and automated reports.
