2017 Product of the Year for Pumps & Pump Controls Awarded to Armstrong Fluid Technology

Winners of the 2017 Consulting-Specifying Engineer Product of the Year Awards have been announced, with Armstrong Fluid Technology winning the award for the 2017 Product of the Year for Pumps & Pump Controls.

The Design Envelope Vertical In-Line Retrofit pump is designed to allow building owners to replace the moving parts of an installed constant-speed pump while retaining the existing pump casing, insulation, and piping. Design Envelope solutions don’t require differential pressure sensors, wall-mounted drives, or additional wiring. There’s no need for a pressure test after the installation because it reuses the existing casing. It allows engineers to help their customers upgrade HVAC installations from constant-speed solutions that waste energy to variable-speed installations that align with industry requirements for energy savings at part load.
