William (Bill) Tipton Appointed New CEO of Stancor Pumps

Stancor Pumps has announced the appointment of Bill Tipton as their new CEO. He assumed responsibilities on May 23rd and will succeed Stamo Lagoutis.

Bill has joined Stancor after nine years working for Weir Group PLC. During his time at Weir he developed growth strategies for their Oil & Gas division and delivered two major post acquisition integrations while VP of Business Development. Most recently he held executive leadership roles at Weir’s wellhead business in Houston, Texas as interim President and VP of US Operations.

Bill graduated from Oregon State University with a BSME and has worked in the pump industry for more than 25 years with companies such as Sulzer, Flowserve and Weir Group.

Stancor offers a complete line of electrical submersible pumps & controls solutions including heavy-duty MSHA dewatering pumps, standard and customized pump control systems and solutions. The business was most recently purchased by private equity firm Knox Capital in August 2014.
