Wilden ® Releases Saniflo™ Hygienic™ Metal AODD Pump Models with Energy-Efficient Pro-Flo® SHIFT ADS

Wilden ®, part of PSG®, a Dover company and a worldwide leader in air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump technology, is pleased to announce the release of new Saniflo Hygienic Series (HS) Original Metal AODD pump models that utilize the energy-efficient Pro-Flo® SHIFT Air Distribution System (ADS). The new high performance Saniflo HS pumps comply with EHEDG, 3-A, CE, ATEX, USP Class VI, 1935/2004/EC and FDA CFR 21.177 requirements for use in a wide variety of hygienic applications.

“The new Pro-Flo SHIFT Saniflo HS series will bring the efficiency, cost savings and performance benefits of the SHIFT air distribution system to the food processing and bio-pharmaceutical industries that previously had to rely on less effective technology,” said Chris Distaso, Director of Engineering for Wilden. “Not only does the new SHIFT Saniflo Series provide exceptional performance, but its clamped design ensures ease of maintenance and convenient clean-in-place and clean-out-of-place capabilities.”

Launched in June 2013, the Wilden Pro-Flo SHIFT ADS allows Wilden Advanced and Original AODD pumps to achieve up to 60% savings in air consumption over other competitive AODD pump technologies, while providing more product yield per standard cubic foot per minute (SCFM). While the Wilden Pro-Flo SHIFT dramatically improves energy efficiency, it is submersible and features plug-and-play operation. Its robust design makes the Pro-Flo SHIFT ideal for use in harsh operating environments and includes ATEX compliance for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Using fewer operating parts, the Pro-Flo SHIFT’s unique design prevents overfilling to prolong diaphragm life and reduce noise, maintenance and repair for less downtime and a lower total cost of ownership.

The new Wilden Pro-Flo SHIFT Saniflo HS pumps are available in 316 stainless steel and nickel-plated aluminum in 38 mm (1-1/2”), 51 mm (2”) and 76 mm (3”) sizes and feature maximum discharge pressures to 8.6 bar (125 psig), maximum flows to 844 lpm (223 gpm) and maximum solid-handling size to 60.3 mm (2-3/8”). Wilden Pro-Flo SHIFT Saniflo HS pumps are available with maximum suction lifts to 5.4 m (17.6’) dry and 9.0 m (29.5) wet.
