Wilden® Brahma™ Advanced™ AODD Pump Models Now Available with Pro-Flo® SHIFT ADS

Wilden®, part of PSG®, a Dover company and a worldwide leader in air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump technology, is pleased to announce the release of new Brahma Advanced Metal AODD Pump models powered by the energy-efficient Pro-Flo® SHIFT Air Distribution System (ADS). These new high-performance pumps feature the reliability and energy savings of the Pro-Flo SHIFT ADS and the ability to handle large solids.

Wilden Brahma bolted metal pumps were specifically designed for large solids passage and high performance in tough applications. Incorporating flap valves and a unique top inlet and bottom discharge orientation, the Brahma is able to pass solids up to 76 mm (3″). Its bolted construction provides superior containment, and the flap valves assist in preventing damage from product entrapment and settling of solids in intermittent-duty applications.

Brahma pumps also come equipped with the innovative Wilden Pro-Flo SHIFT ADS. The Pro-Flo SHIFT incorporates a unique Air Control Spool that automatically restricts the amount of air going into the pump during the latter part of each stroke, which eliminates over-filling of the air chamber and results in reduced air consumption. By optimizing air consumption, the Pro-Flo SHIFT lowers energy and operating costs, achieving up to 60% savings over competitive AODD pump technologies. Its robust design makes the Pro-Flo SHIFT ideal for use in harsh operating environments.

The new Brahma pumps are available in two sizes: PS810, 51 mm (2”), and PS1510, 76 mm (3”), and in aluminum or ductile iron materials of construction. Designed for tough applications, the new pumps are submersible, self-priming and shear-sensitive while providing increased On/Off reliability, superior anti-freezing properties, the ability to run dry and pressure handling capabilities of up to 125 psig. Maximum flow rates are 640 lpm (169 gpm) for the PS810 and 882 lpm (233 gpm) for the PS1510. Diaphragms are available in Buna-N and Neoprene.
