A.W. Chesterton Company Appoints Uday Karmarkar as Vice President of Engineering

A.W. Chesterton Company announced today the hire of Mr. Uday Karmarkar as vice president of engineering. Mr. Karmarkar will be managing engineering, research, and development activities for all of Chesterton’s product lines.

“Uday is uniquely qualified to lead Chesterton’s engineering efforts and will uphold our commitment to providing innovative solutions to our customers,” notes Andrew Chesterton, President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). “We are very excited that Uday is joining Chesterton in this key positon for the company. He embodies the talent Chesterton is able to attract as the company pursues its goal of being first in the minds of our customers for innovation and excellence.”

Uday stated, “Chesterton has been transforming process industry solutions with a dedicated passion for innovation and customer focus for over 130 years, and I am excited to put my skills and background to use at Chesterton in advancing the company’s technology and market position. I am thrilled to join the strong senior leadership team and a truly innovative company.”

Uday holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and a master’s degree from the College of Polymer Science and Polymer Engineering ‐ University of Akron, Ohio. He has over 18 years of industrial experience and holds several US Patents.

Uday’s resume includes engineering positions at GE in the Digital Industrial Transportation business and at Akron Rubber Development Laboratory, Inc. Prior to joining Chesterton, Uday was Principal Engineer‐Chief Engineering for General Electric in Erie, Pennsylvania.
