As the Northwest Regional Sales Manager for Tsurumi, Tyrone Hipwell is the primary consultant for clients in the area. He has served the industrial, mining and construction pump markets since joining Tsurumi in June 2022.
Q: Can you tell us a bit about your background?
Tyrone Hipwell: I have worked in sales for my entire career, with a strong focus on the pump market for the past decade. Over time, I have honed my skills in building strong, long-lasting relationships and providing sales and technical advice to help my clients overcome their challenges. Since joining Tsurumi in June 2022, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know my colleagues and clients in the region I serve.
Q: What does a good customer experience mean to you?
Tyrone Hipwell: Providing a good customer experience means being responsive, easily accessible and a trustworthy partner. It is essential to establish a relationship with the customer that builds trust in me and allows them to trust me with their clients. It’s a lot more than just closing a sale. It’s about understanding the needs of my clients so that I can assist them in providing a complete experience for their customers.
Q: Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
Tyrone Hipwell: Living in Utah is a great privilege, and being able to travel throughout the Northwest is a bonus! Outdoor activities are very popular in that part of the country, and spending time with my family outdoors is what I enjoy the most. We love to ski, camp, hike, or any other outdoor activity. My kids are interested in sports, like soccer and basketball, theater, and even school. We always have a great time together.
