Tsurumi Pump announced Tyrone Hipwell as its new regional sales manager for the Northwest. Tyrone has worked in the pump industry for several years and brings a varied technical and sales background to Tsurumi’s team. He has worked in industries such as aviation, automotive and mechanical engineering. He also has teaching experience, having been an instructor at a technical college.
Hipwell said he has been engaged with Tsurumi for quite some time, and that the company’s reputation for quality products and for fostering a collaborative relationship with its customers attracted him to the position.
“It’s a job I feel pretty comfortable getting into,” he said. “Every step of my career has led me to this. I look forward to utilizing my technical and teaching experience to help Tsurumi customers solve their unique challenges.”
As a regional sales manager, Tyrone will oversee pump sales for the Northwest, source equipment and materials, and work with distributors to boost efficiency and customer support in the region. He is looking forward to visiting customers and distributors throughout his territory.
Chuck Rickman, Tsurumi’s vice president of sales, said Tyrone’s deep knowledge of the industry will help Tsurumi reach its goals.
