Although attendance at this year’s Semicon West show in San Francisco was down over previous years, there was no lack of traffic or excitement at the Trebor International booth, which promoted the launch of two new products and the announcement of a yet to be named pump. Trebor launched a deadhead capable version of the popular Magnum 620 pump and a new pump head design, known as the Diffuser Head which improves diaphragm life and performance in aggressive chemical environments. Both products are now available to the market.
One of the more interesting product announcements, which was entirely unique to the Semicon West show, was Project X, an unnamed evolution of a Trebor pump that has been engineered to higher tolerances of pressures and temperatures. In addition, the unnamed pump will be available in several materials (PTFE, PFA, PP) to serve different chemical applications. “Project X, along with the continual improvements on existing products, should be a signal to the industry that Trebor is not just the standard in chemical handling since 1976, but that we are looking to the next generation of processes that will require more robust and reliable pumps and heaters. These pumps are just the beginning of a new era at Trebor and we’re excited to work with our partners on such projects as 450mm wafer manufacturing,” said BJ Sorensen, Trebor International’s Marketing and Product Manager.
