The 2024 POWERGEN International® technical conference program is live.
The program is where power producers, utilities, EPCs, consultants, OEMs, and large-scale energy users gather to explore innovative solutions amid the shift towards cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.
It consists of technical deep dives and case studies on topics critical to the power and utility industries. Sessions will cover topics that are important to personnel tasked with building, operating, and maintaining power plants.
The sessions are vetted and curated by our advisory committee, which is made up of professionals across the power sector.
“It’s so important for people to be able to come together and understand from their peers what is being done in the industry,” said Danielle Flagg, CCS Project Development Manager at Sargent & Lundy and Chair of POWERGEN’s “Carbon Capture and Emission Controls” track.
POWERGEN 2024 includes nine conference tracks:
- Carbon Capture and Emission Controls
- Decarbonization
- Energy Storage Deployments
- Microgrid Breakthroughs
- Nuclear’s Evolution
- Optimizing Plant Performance
- O&M and EPC Consideration for Utility-Scale Solar and Wind
- The Smarter Power Plant
- Unlocking Hydrogen’s Power Potential
Jay Crilley, a POWERGEN committee member representing the “Optimizing Plant Performance” track, said as the event has changed with the industry, committee members are seeing stronger speaker submissions.
“We’re seeing papers of more experience, more knowledge,” he said. “I think the content is very diversified. Everything from small nuclear reactors to biomass, to hydrogen to traditional fossil…it’s just a broad range of everything and it continues to grow and evolve.”
POWERGEN International is being held January 23-25, 2024 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana. View the conference program or REGISTER here.
