Heroes First Foundation 8th Annual Charity Golf Tournament

The Heroes First Foundation will host its eighth annual charity golf tournament on May 4th, 2017, at Stone Mountain Golf Club to celebrate military veterans and first responders.

Local communities, businesses and veterans will come together Thursday afternoon in support of paws4vets, the Atlanta-based nonprofit charity organization. paws4vets was chosen by the Heroes First Foundation to receive proceeds raised at the event. The organization provides trained, certified and insured Assistance Dogs to our military veterans and first responders such as fire, police, and EMT that have undergone physical, neurological, psychological and emotional disabilities after serving in the line of duty. The Assistance Dogs provide a companionship that helps these brave men and women through their day to day life after returning home.

Activities will include a round of golf at the championship golf courses of Stone Mountain Golf Club. Following the tournament, a silent auction will be held. Food and drinks will also be provided throughout the day to everyone who participates!

The Heroes First Foundation has successfully raised more than $600,000 over the past seven years. All proceeds collected from the event will be given directly to paws4vets for the training and development of the Assistance Dogs that are provided to the selected veterans at no cost to them. By partnering with SyncroFlo, SPP Pumps, and other local and national organizations, the Heroes First Foundation has made it possible to raise awareness for this need in the community.

John Kahren, President of SPP Pumps and Chairman of Heroes First Foundation said, “I believe local businesses should help to support unfulfilled needs in our community. Many of my employees are military veterans and felt like additional support for those veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress and other injuries caused in combat was going unnoticed. We immediately wanted to help provide funds to paws4vets after finding that they were making a positive impact for those who need this kind of support.

Registration, donation and sponsorship information can be found at www.heroesfirstfoundation.org. All U.S. Military servicemen and women who register will be granted complimentary registration for the tournament. Pre-registration is recommended and availability is on a ‘first come first serve’ basis.

The Heroes First Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity organization (EIN:27-2592600). All donations support the paws4people foundation a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity organization. paws4people, paws4vets and the logos are trademarks or registered trademarks of paws4people Inc. paws4people is a nonprofit corporation (EIN: 54-19484979) and a 501(c)(3) Charitable Foundation DLN: 310054406.
