The Turbomachinery & Pump Symposia 2017 takes place at the George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, Texas from December 12th – 14th 2017.

As a worldwide turnkey provider of maintenance solutions for rotating equipment, Sulzer is a versatile partner that can service almost any requirement. This incorporates large scale projects, the manufacture of specific components or – as a fully integrated maintenance partner – Sulzer is able to manage work from the design stage right through to final installation on site. Services are aimed at turbines, compressors, pumps, generators and large motors; with full refurbishments of rotor blades and coils available, supported by Sulzer’s in-house manufacturing capabilities.

Sulzer also offers its expansive range of market-leading pumps, designed to provide high performance in even the most exacting environments. All solutions deliver efficiency and productivity, so attendees are encouraged to talk with the experts to see how these solutions can directly benefit their applications.

Specialists in the field

At the forefront of high quality component manufacturing, Sulzer’s 3D printing capabilities will be on show, a manufacturing method the business utilizes to create high performance components such as turbine blades. 3D printing presents expedited production compared to traditional casting, offering reduced lead times. This is especially important in minimizing customer downtime.

Petroleum global portfolio manager for Pumps Equipment, Ronald B. Adams, will also form part of the symposium’s Pump Advisory Committee. Ron will utilize his great experience in the industry to impart knowledge during two organized discussions. Monitoring Vibration and Other Critical Machine Conditions takes place in General Assembly Theater C at 2pm on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sulzer will also have a compressor rotor on display to highlight its comprehensive maintenance services. The business offers turnkey support for these components, incorporating inspection, design, production of new parts, testing and balancing. The showcase will also feature the first three stages of the compressor rotor coated in Sulzer’s in-house anti-fouling and corrosion protection air spray coating. Sulzer offers a range of in-house thermal and air spray coatings for a variety of applications that benefit from improved durability and performance.

Attendees will have the chance to engage in a social media scavenger hunt, with participants encouraged to complete a number of photo challenges on the Sulzer stand and across the rest of the show. Players must upload their images to the social media platform of their choice, mentioning @EmpoweringBrands and #GETSocialTPS. Three winners will be announced, who will each be awarded a Visa gift card worth $100.
