Sulzer supported the event as a sponsor and participated in online workshops.

The Empowering Women in Industry association honors the successes and vital roles that nominees have played in educating and inspiring the next generation of leaders. The organization’s second annual event focused on the theme ‘make an impact’ and took place online, allowing a wider, global audience to take part in a full day of talks, interactive workshops and an awards gala.

Sulzer employees contributed to connecting, educating, and empowering women by participating in workshops and talks during the virtual event. Attendees were able to connect with them, drawing inspiration from their achievements, as well as learning more about Sulzer’s activities aimed at supporting its staff.

The company has a longstanding commitment to gender equality as well as personal development through partnerships, sponsorships, mentoring and training programs. One of its most recent efforts includes Sulzer Learning Pathways, a global framework for ongoing development to improve long-term career opportunities. This involved 500 employees in one year.

Jennifer Cardillo, Marketing and Communications Director Americas – Rotating Equipment Services at Sulzer, comments: “Sulzer truly believes in establishing an inclusive, diverse and non-discriminative culture in the workplace. The organization is keen to drive and support the development of all its employees. Events like Empowering Women in Industry are important to advancing the conversation around improving women’s representation and progression in sectors that are traditionally male-dominated. We couldn’t be prouder of our successful employees that joined the virtual conference and look forward to supporting the association in the future.”
