SL Mooney retires; Cunningham completes transition

On December 31, 2018, Sherrell (SL) Mooney retired from Sealing Equipment Products Co., Inc., (SEPCO) after 44 years of dedicated service to the industry. The SEPCO team celebrated his retirement on December 21, 2018.

Hired on March 31, 1974, Mooney has worked in nearly every department at SEPCO, including most of the areas within the plant and ultimately in customer service. When asked why he stayed at SEPCO for such a long tenure, he said that SEPCO is just a great place to work, and he stayed because of the people and the relationships he forged throughout his career.

Chris Wilder, SEPCO CEO, reflected on Mooney’s contributions to the company. “SL has been a fixture and constant positive presence here. We will miss his personality and are grateful for the relationships he developed with our customers and his mentorship of our inside sales team.”

Patrick Cunningham has completed his transition into Mooney’s role. Before his time at SEPCO, Cunningham worked in the transportation industry selling heavy transport equipment and parts and also spent time working in industrial distribution sales. In his spare time, Cunningham enjoys Auburn football and coaching and attending his three sons’ sporting events.
