Goal to strengthen the relationship with one of Alabama’s largest export markets
Sealing Equipment Products Company Inc. (SEPCO) CEO Chris Wilder traveled to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on a trade mission September 23 through September 27. The trip’s goal was to “strengthen business ties with the Middle East and North Africa,” according to an al.com article published on September 20, 2019.
Mr. Wilder met with several business leaders, including Yusuf Mohammad, CEO of McWane Gulf, and Steven Bondy, Charge’ d’ Affairs and acting Ambassador to the UAE.
“Trips like these are a great chance to build good will,” said Mr. Wilder. “I also welcome any opportunity to meet potential clients and business partners and experience business life in another culture.”
He also appreciated the warmth of the people in Dubai. “They were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met,” Wilder said. “I was excited to participate and am grateful to the U.S. and Alabama Departments of Commerce for facilitating the trip.”
