High Pressure Progressive Cavity Pumps for Hydromulch Applications

Hydraulic Mulch Seeding is used for planting/hydro-seeding for erosion control & reclamation in a relatively large area in a short period of time (i.e. 3-4 weeks from the date of application). Fiber mulch accelerates the growing process by maintaining moisture around the seeds thereby increasing the rate of germination. These Hydro Mulchers can also be used to plant high-quality turf grass in residential, commercial, or sports grounds.

Hydro-Seeding Process

  • The seed & mulch slurry is transported in tailor-mounted tanks of large capacities to spray slurry over the prepared ground. The hydro-mulcher tank is fitted with a twin set of stainless steel agitators to constantly mix the slurry to ensure the consistency of the seeds.
  • A high-pressure progressive cavity pump is installed with the tank to provide a uniform spray of solid-laden seed slurry through either a permanently mounted hydrant or the two flexible hoses with outlets on either side of the unit
  • Both agitators & pump are independently driven to increase pump life & to provide flexibility during operation

Distinctive Features & Benefit

  • Provide uniform, metered & non-pulsating flow to high-pressure media
  • Non-clogging can easily handle solids in suspension. Low internal velocity ensures maximum seed integrity and minimizes seed damage
  • Reversible rotation capability to avoid any blockage
