Rick Foster from Blackmer® Receives Standards Award from Hydraulic Institute

Blackmer®, part of PSG®, a Dover company and a global leader in positive displacement and centrifugal pump, and reciprocating compressor technologies, is pleased to announce that Rick Foster, Director of Engineering, was recently presented with a Standards Award from the Hydraulic Institute (HI). Foster received the award in recognition and appreciation of his outstanding contributions to the development of ANSI/HI Pump Standards and guidelines published in 2015.

“Without the efforts of dedicated volunteers like Rick and the support of our member companies and partners, we would not be able to publish these important industry references,” said Michael Michaud, Executive Director of HI. “We value Rick’s contributions to the Institute and this is a well-deserved award.”

Established in 1917, HI is the global authority on pumps and pumping systems. HI standards – which are approved by the American National Standards Institute and recognized worldwide – are established by working collaboratively with member companies and standards partners to produce brand-neutral standards, guidelines, and educational courses and material for use by the industry at large. To recognize those who participate in this effort at a high level, HI bestows special Standards Awards on deserving members at both the individual and member-company level. The award is a significant honor that is recognized throughout the pump industry.
