Wilden®, part of Dover Corporation’s Pump Solutions Group (PSG®) and a worldwide leader in air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump technology, is excited to announce that its Pro-Flo® SHIFT is a winner of Flow Control Magazine’s 2014 Innovation Award. This prestigious award recognizes the top new technologies in flow control and movement for their contributions to the industry.
“We are very honored that the Pro-Flo SHIFT was selected as one of the Flow Control 2014 Innovation Award winners,” said Chris Distaso, Director of Engineering, Wilden. “This award is just one of many recognitions that the Wilden Pro-Flo SHIFT has received since it was introduced in June 2013, proving that the Pro-Flo SHIFT truly does represent a giant leap forward in the energy efficiency and performance of AODD pumps.”
The new Wilden Pro-Flo SHIFT represents a new innovation in energy efficiency within the AODD pump category. Due to its revolutionary design, the Pro-Flo SHIFT Air Distribution System (ADS) allows Wilden AODD pumps to achieve up to a 60% savings in air consumption over all competitive AODD pump technologies, while providing more product yield per standard cubic foot per minute (SCFM) of air used. While the Wilden Pro-Flo SHIFT dramatically improves energy efficiency, it also costs 50% less than an electronically actuated ADS, is submersible, and features plug-and-play operation with no learning period. Its robust design makes the Pro-Flo SHIFT ideal for use in harsh operating environments and includes ATEX compliance for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The Pro-Flo SHIFT has fewer operating parts, which equates to less downtime and simple maintenance.
As a recipient of this award, the Pro-Flo SHIFT will be featured in the October issue of Flow Control Magazine.
