Revised Motor Protection Application Guide Now Available

A newly revised Motor Protection Application Guide is now available for download free of charge from the Basler Electric web site.

Basler Electric developed this guide to simplify the process of selecting relays and relay systems to protect motors. Starting with minimum protection as a baseline, additional protection is added for critical and complex applications. Each protective element is described and related to protecting against a variety of external or internal faults or abnormal conditions. The principles apply to individual relays and multifunction digital packages. A typical motor settings configuration example is included using Basler’s BE1-11m Motor Protection System.

Basler Electric was founded in 1942 and its first Solid State Relay was designed in the early 1970s. Over the past 40+ years, Basler’s innovation, technological advancements and expertise have successfully led the product line through the development of single function microprocessor-based relays into today’s Digital Multifunction Protection Systems.

Highland, Illinois, is the corporate headquarters for this global company with locations throughout the United States, Mexico, France, China, and Singapore. For information on the entire line of power system protection and control products and custom transformers designed and manufactured by Basler Electric, visit www.basler.com, email info@basler.com or call 618/654-2341.
