Pump Person of the Week – Tom O’Donnell

Empowering Pumps recently began inviting people to Nominate a Pump Professional, so we were super excited to see this individual get nominated as the Empowering Brands’ staff just met him face-to-face at WEFTEC!

We spent a few minutes talking with Tom O’Donnell, Director of Business Development with Neptune Chemical Pump Co., a Dover Company, and this is what he had to share:

I started at Neptune after graduating from college – it was my first job out of college, and I have been here for 33 years! I’ve enjoyed many different job positions along the way, especially developing new product offerings, providing product solutions for customers’ requirements, and doing field sales work. I am most proud of some of the new products that I helped develop for Neptune along the way; especially Glycol Feed Systems. My  advice for anyone new to the industry is to get involved! Learn all you can about your customers’ needs, what your products capabilities are, and what directions the industries you serve are going. My go-to-resource used to be ‘Senior’ staff, but now I am senior staff (::laughs::), so trade shows, trade mags, and online networks that allow you to communicate with customers and peers is really important to engage.

On behalf of the Empowering Brands’ staff, we appreciate your contributions to the Pump Industry and look forward to hearing from you more in the future!

Know an Amazing Person who is making valuable contributions within the Pump Industry? Nominate them to be “Pump Person of the Week”!

  1. I am very pleased to meet such a Pump Person of the Week – Tom O’Donnell with his long 33-year experience. I understand his activity very well, because I am also fully engaged in pumps for a long time (full 17 years). I wish to my colleague in other end of the world a great success!
