Pump Industry Improvements Via Education & Training

Improvements… I believe in continual improvements.  If you followed the journey and evolution of EmpoweringPumps.com, you have probably noticed many changes in the site since it started more than two years ago.

And I am committed to constantly seeking new avenues to improve site usability and SEO.  If you are a regular reader of Kerry’s posts, social media plays a huge role in enabling search engines to find and identify relevant content on our web site.  As publisher, it’s my job to keep ensure content is current to facilitate and optimize search engines finding content on our site.

With this in mind, you will see a few updates to the existing site for 2014. We have also carried these improvements in the design of EmpoweringValves.com (launching at the end of the month).  Due to my relationship with the Fluid Sealing Association and my customers who are leaders in the fluid sealing industry, I learned there was a need for more information sharing within the Valve industry.

As we improve the physical aspects of our site, we are also improving our relationships within the industry.  If you haven’t seen the press release yet, please take a moment to read our post about Empowering Pumps becoming a training partner with the Hydraulic Institute and Pump Systems Matter.  I am very excited about the opportunity of this partnership, which will bring education to our industry.   I believe this collaboration will lead to improvements in pump design, performance testing, and troubleshooting our pump systems…all perfectly aligned with our mission.

In conjunction with this relationship, I am excited about the opportunity I have as the Marketing Committee Chair of the Fluid Sealing Association.  HAVE YOU SEEN THEIR NEW WEBSITE!!!  I am very proud to have been part of this improvement in the industry.   The FSA is focused on influencing and supporting the development of standards and to provide education in the fluid sealing area.  My goal is to help them share this information with the pump and valve communities.  Look for my interview with Pete Petrunich, Technical Director for the FSA, soon.
