Wilden® Saniflo™ Hygienic™ Series Pumps & Pure-Fuse Diaphragms on Display at IFT18

Wilden®, part of PSG®, a Dover company and a worldwide leader in air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump technology, will be featuring its high-performing Saniflo Hygienic Series (HS) AODD pumps and Pure-Fuse diaphragms in booth S3883 at the Institute of Food Technologists’ 2018 IFT Annual Meeting & Food Expo (IFT18). IFT18 will be taking place on July 15-18 in Chicago, IL, USA.

Wilden Saniflo HS pumps offer the versatility, safety and capability you need to efficiently pump an array of viscosities, solids and shear-sensitive products for food-and-beverage processing operations. With clamped connections for easy assembly and disassembly, these pumps offer clean-in-place (CIP) and clean-out-of-place (COP) capabilities. The unique design of Wilden Saniflo HS pumps incorporates a free-draining flow path that optimizes performance and enables CIP capability while lowering the risk of cross contamination or compromised finished product that may lead to costly recalls. In addition, the design of the HS pumps does not contain any mechanical seals or rotating parts, which eliminates any nooks and crannies where product residue can be trapped and contaminate the sanitary operation of the pump. The straight flow-through liquid path also reduces internal friction to provide consistent output and ensures the careful transfer of product.

Wilden Saniflo HS pumps are available in four sizes from 25 mm (1”) to 76 mm (3”) and feature flow rates from 144 lpm to 874 lpm (38 gpm and 231 gpm). These pumps are available with the Pro-Flo® SHIFT Air Distribution System (ADS) for outstanding energy efficiency. They also exceed all CE, ATEX, USP Class VI, 1935/2004/EC and FDA CFR 21.177 requirements.

Further enhancing the cleanability and performance of Saniflo HS pumps is the availability of Wilden Pure-Fuse diaphragms. Pure-Fuse diaphragm technology incorporates a one-piece design that eliminates product-trap areas between the outer piston and diaphragm that can harbor bacteria. This patented design also provides an unbroken fluid-contact surface for exceptional CIP capability and reduced contamination risks.

An additional benefit of Pure-Fuse diaphragms compared to other cleanable diaphragms is the use of a large integral piston and full-stroke shaft that provide greater efficiency. This full-stroke configuration also allows the pump to achieve twice the dry vacuum and flow when compared to shorter-stroke CIP-capable diaphragms. Wilden Pure-Fuse diaphragms are constructed of food-grade Wil-Flex (Santoprene) that meets all FDA CFR 21.177, EHEDG, 1935/2004/EC and 3A requirements.

Wilden will share a booth with sister PSG companies Mouvex® and Quattroflow.
