PSG To Highlight Benefits Of AODD Pumps For Handling Dangerous Chemicals At ACHEMA Show

By: PSG

PSG®, a Dover company and a global leader in the manufacture of pumps, systems and related flow-control technologies, will be displaying its Almatec® and Wilden® Air-Operated Double-Diaphragm (AODD) Pump technologies in Hall 8.0, Stand D37 at the upcoming ACHEMA Show. ACHEMA is the world’s largest trade show for the chemical-processing industry.

Almatec AODD PumpsAnytime a toxic, corrosive or explosive chemical is moved along the production chain, or transferred from one container to another, it poses a very definite threat to the health of site personnel and the environment. Therefore, in most cases, AODD pumps are the ideal technology to utilize when looking to optimize the safe and efficient handling and transfer of dangerous chemical materials.

Almatec has been a long-time leader in advanced engineering solutions for AODD pumps with a number of patents that help their products meet the demands of fluid handling within chemical-processing operations. Specifically, Almatec E-Series AODD pumps feature polyethylene (PE) and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) solid-block construction, the durability of which makes them ideal for dangerous-chemical handling and transfer. Other standout features include diaphragms with an integrated metal core, which reduces leaks; stainless-steel containment ring for enhanced sealing; automatically adjusting pulsation dampener for consistent flow rate; and PE/PTFE conductive models for use in ATEX atmospheres.

Wilden ProFlo SHIFTWilden AODD pumps are available in a wide range of models and materials, making them ideal for the handling of virtually any dangerous chemical. Features that distinguish Wilden AODD Pumps include its innovative Pro-Flo® SHIFT Air Distribution System (ADS) for lower energy consumption; a bolted design with no mechanical seals or packings for enhanced product containment; and a drop-in design that allows the pump to be installed into an existing pump’s footprint without the need to reconfigure the piping. Wilden also offers the largest selection of diaphragms for AODD pumps in the world, with material options to handle the most difficult chemicals and designs to ensure diaphragms last as long as possible.
