PSG Receives Frost & Sullivan’s 2012 Global Growth Excellence Award

Pump Solutions Group (PSG®), a business unit within Dover Corporation (NYSE: DOV) and the global leader of positive displacement pumps and related technologies, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded Frost & Sullivan’s 2012 Global Growth Excellence Award in the Positive Displacement Pumps market. Frost & Sullivan is a global research organization of 1,800 analysts and consultants who monitor more than 300 industries and 250,000 companies.

According to Frost & Sullivan, PSG was selected for being superior in market leadership; its ability to generate and evaluate growth strategies at best-practices level; its ability to implement best practices; technological innovation and leadership; growth strategy implemented and its benefits; growth compared to industry growth; and increased name recognition.

Frost & Sullivan praised PSG for its efforts over the past year, which have included setting up manufacturing facilities in China and India to deliver global products at local prices. In addition, PSG acquired RedScrew Pumps in China and Quattroflow in Germany to expand into the growing chemical, oil and gas, and hygienic markets. In March, PSG completed its acquisition of Maag, a leading global manufacturer of gear pumps with a strong focus in emerging regions. In tandem with these acquisitions, PSG focused on increasing its presence in Latin America, especially Brazil; and expanding its manufacturing facility in China to strengthen its market presence, providing improved customer response, shorter lead-time, and increased business development activities and customer/distributor interaction.

According to Frost & Sullivan’s announcement, “PSG has consistently demonstrated its ability to monitor external economic scenarios, develop suitable strategies to capitalize on opportunities, and then execute them to harness growth.”
