Formsprag Clutch, Marland Clutch and Stieber Clutch offer a broad range of both sprag and ramp and roller overrunning clutches and backstops utilized in pump applications. CECON overrunning clutches are often used when a pump is driven by two power sources. Backstopping clutches are used to prevent pump impellers from rotating backwards (backflow) when the pump motor is off and back pressure is present.
