Fairbanks Morse opposed-piston engines, like the one shown here, have logged millions of operating hours with proven reliability and durability under a wide range of conditions. In August 2013, Fairbanks Morse announced that they received an order from Ecopetrol, the primary oil and gas provider in Colombia, to supply five, two-stroke opposed-piston dual fuel engine driven crude oil pump sets and auxiliary equipment for the Ayacucho-Covenas pipeline. Delivery of the pump sets is scheduled for early 2014.
