The Proof is in the Pudding! Empowering Pumps & Equipment SHOWS the Power of Social Media

This saying, “the proof is in the pudding” means you can only judge the quality of something after you have tried “it”…after you have truly experienced it. The “it” in this case is Social Media, and while several in the Pump Industry have embraced using social media as part of their digital media marketing programs, many companies still do not understand the POWER of social media. So Empowering Pumps & Equipment is going to SHOW you…

Empowering Pumps & Equipment was the official Social Media Sponsor of the Hydraulic Institute 2018 Annual Conference, which took place February 26th through March 2nd. In this #GetSocialHI social media event, 35 people participated with a total of 237 posts – so why is this a big deal? The 35 people who participated in this social media event were able to REACH over 26,000 people!!!

Let that sink in….think about how many sales people your organization employs…think about how many customers they can see/talk to over the course of a year….Now think about how 1 social post can initiate conversation among a much bigger audience over much quicker periods of time…These 237 posts got over 100,000 impressions (impressions are the number of times posts are displayed).

This is not a ‘one-time’ example…Empowering Pumps & Equipment is the LEADER in digital media and we have many examples of how social media helps you engage with your audience and expand awareness!

power of social media, pump turbomachinery symposium TPS

Last December, Empowering Pumps & Equipment was the official Social Media Sponsor for the 46th Turbomachinery & 33rd International Pump Users Symposia in Houston, Texas. The #GetSocialTPS event resulted in over 116,000 impressions, with several people (and even Sadie, the Turbo Labrador) participating!

Empowering Pumps & Equipment is THE CONNECTION HUB for Industry, so CONNECT with us! Participate in the Online Communities we have built over the past 7 years – #PumpTalk – #ValveTalk – #MotorTalk – #CompressorTalk.

What happens when Empowering Pumps & Equipment shares content through social media? Other people pick it up and share it with their fans, friends, and followers. And then some of those people share it with their followers, and on and on it goes (see Fig.1 below)!

Fig.1 above shows how one piece of content was picked up and shared by other people, spreading the message to 2,805 people *outside* the contributor’s social network.

Social media is powerful when you share relevant and useful content and when you use #hashtags that people are using to keep up with topics they are interested in or professionally involved with! You don’t have to be concerned that you might only have 20 followers – if your message is worth sharing, thousands will see it! That is the POWER of social media.
